Despite the name, Deaf Internet Quartet, is a collective of many musicians, but as the name implies, only four appear on each track. The concept of Deaf Internet Quartet is to make improvised free jazz while being completely deaf to the other musicians. No one else hears what everyone else is doing, and it promotes the ultimate freedom of each individuals improvisation. No one is limited to trying to follow a lead, or trying to be the lead, everyone is their own lead and their own follower.
